Join us for a unique fall Sunday adventure!
We’ll start with a relaxed vegan brunch at Newton’s Paradise Cafe from 10:30am-12:30pm. After brunch, we’ll head to the Raymond Quarry for the BMC Annual Open House from 1:00-3:00pm.
At the quarry, we’ll have the chance to tour the working quarry, collect rocks, minerals and fossils, explore geology and mining displays, and learn from organizations including the Iowa Geological Survey, UNI Earth Science Department, Black Hawk Gem & Mineral Club, and more.
The BMC Annual Open House is free and open to all ages. Food and beverages at Newton’s Paradise Cafe are purchased individually.
Come for brunch, the quarry, or both! As always, you don’t need to be vegan to join us. Anyone interested in plant-based living and connecting with locals in the Cedar Valley is welcome.
